_{Southern Rock is generally seen as a blend of Rock n’ Roll, Blues and Country & Western and all those influences are very evident on “Take It On Faith”, the new album from Rossington; more so than on most Southern Rock that I would listen to. I love Southern Rock music and enjoy listening to good Blues guitarists, but I’m not much of a Country & Western fan; though I probably know the words to all the Country classics on those albums that my mum and dad had! There can be no denying however that there is sometimes a grey area where classic Southern Rock and traditional Country & Western music co-exist. At times, for me, this album would fall into that grey area, but there is still plenty that I like. “Take It On Faith” was released by Loud & Proud Records on 4th November. I played the opening track “Highway of Love” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 11th November.}

_{Rossington is led by Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Gary Rossington and his wife Dale Krantz-Rossington, who has been called the First Lady of Southern Rock. The two have been working together for almost 40 years. Dale sang for 38 Special when they opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd in the late 70’s prior to their collaboration in the Rossington Collins Band and then the Rossington Band in the 80’s.}

_{There are 12 tracks on the album. My favourite is undoubtedly “Highway of Love”, followed by “Shame On Me”, “Good Side of Good” and “Two Very Different Things”. “Something Fishy” is a great bluesy track. A video has been released for the title track “Take It On Faith”.}
