Anyone who knows me, listens to the NI Rocks Shows on Rock Radio NI or follows any of the NI Rocks social media sites will know that we are big fans of The Last Vegas. So it should come as no shock to find an “NI Rocks Recommends” for the new album from The Last Vegas entitled “Sweet Salvation” which gets released in the UK on 2nd June. Anyone who contributed to the band’s pledge campaign last year, as we did, will have already received their download link and possibly the signed CD depending on their pledge. If you haven’t already got it, make sure that you put it on your shopping list. You won’t be disappointed!
Normally I’ll only write recommendations for albums that have been sent to us by labels, promoters or bands. Very occasionally I’ll write something for an album that I’ve bought myself when I really like it, when it isn’t “mainstream” and I think it isn’t getting talked about enough!! “Sweet Salvation” is one of those albums.
Two of the nine tracks on the album were made available to “pledgers” on “The ‘Z’ EP” which was released last year when the album release was delayed. That includes the track “Come With Me” for which the band released a video. Usually I list a few favourite tracks from albums, but in this case that would just mean listing all nine so I’ll not do that!
We were disappointed to say the least when The Last Vegas pulled out of the Buckcherry tour (and Belfast date) last year. They are touring the UK again this month but unfortunately no Northern Ireland dates are included.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”
I'm not a reviewer and I certainly don’t claim to be a journalist, but I wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels. That was the simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends”. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of the whole idea of “Reviews” as they just represent one person’s opinion!! So I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. The albums that I’ll be recommending are merely those that I would buy myself and which you’ll be hearing played on my shows on Rock Radio NI.
