Phoenix based band Co-Op released their self-titled debut album via Ellefson Music Productions/ SPV on 29th June. It was released a couple of weeks earlier in the USA via the EMP Label Group (the company started by Megadeth’s David Ellefson). The band formed in 2014 and is fronted by Dash Cooper; son of rock legend Alice Cooper. The album features a guest appearance from Alice Cooper and from Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry. The single “N.O.W.” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 29th June.

Co-Op formed in Phoenix in 2014 and signed with EMP in 2017. They’ve opened for bands such as Motley Crue, Hollywood Vampires and Kiss and toured with One Eyed Doll and Doll Skin in 2017 and more recently with FLAW.

Co-Op are Dash Cooper on vocals, Kolby ‘Beetus’ Peoples and Jeremy Tabor on guitars, Justin Swartzentruber on bass and Nick Spann on drums.

There are ten tracks on the album – “Old Scratch” features a guest appearance from Alice Cooper and “Howl” features Joe Perry on guitar.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”

The simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends” is to acknowledge and promote some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI. The albums that I’ll be recommending are those that you’ll hear me playing tracks from on my shows. I'll not be giving marks or ratings or analyzing the tracks in great detail; just telling you something about the artist and the album. It’s a personal recommendation to go check something out, not a traditional “review”!
