“Long Way Down” is the debut release from a band called Bailey. The band is essentially another musical outlet for Nigel Bailey, frontman for the band Three Lions. The album was released through Frontiers Records on 5th December. There are some great tracks on the album, including “In The Name of the King” which was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 19th December.

Other noteworthy tracks for me are “Dirty Little Secret”, “Bad Reputation”, “Spend The Night” and “Dirty Angel”.

The album features Nigel Bailey on vocals and playing guitar and bass,  Mario Percudani on guitar and Alessandro Mori on drums. Album producer Alessandro Del Vecchio also inputs keyboards and backing vocals. For Bailey’s first gig at the end of November, Nigel assembled his own band, that included Vinny Burns.

Nigel Bailey’s band Three Lions also features former Dare / Ten guitarist Vinny Burns and drummer Greg Morgan. A recommendation for their self titled debut was posted in May - http://www.rockradioni.co.uk/back-stage/music-reviews/1521-ni-rocks-recommends-qthree-lionsq-by-three-lions.html

About “NI Rocks Recommends”

The simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends” is to acknowledge and promote some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of traditional “Reviews” which essentially just represent one person’s opinion. With “NI Rocks Recommends”, I'll not be giving marks or ratings or analyzing the tracks in great detail; just telling you something about the artist and the album.

My musical tastes cover most things rock; from the not too melodic to the not too heavy. The albums that I’ll be recommending are merely those that I would buy myself and which you’ll be hearing played on my shows on Rock Radio NI.
