Axel Rudi Pell and his band launch their 25th anniversary together in 2014 with the release of their 15th studio album on 20th January. “Into The Storm” which is released by Steamhammer / SPV clearly demonstrates that the band aren’t resting on their laurels, with many seeing it as one of the best albums that they have delivered. That means a great mix of melodic rock tunes interspersed with hard rockin anthems. Personal favourites are “Tower of Lies”, “Burning Chains”, “Touching Heaven” and the cover version of “Hey Hey My My”.

“Into The Storm” is released in Scandinavia on 15th January, Germany on the 17th, the rest of Europe on the 20th and USA / Canada on 21st on CD, vinyl and in a special limited edition boxset.

The band of course takes its name from German guitar maestro Axel Rudi Pell, with vocals being provided by Johnny Gioelli whilst Ferdy Doernberg does keyboards and Volker Krawczak plays bass. This album is the first with new drummer Bobby Rondinelli.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”

I'm not a reviewer and I certainly don’t claim to be a journalist, but I wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels. That was the simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends”. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of the whole idea of “Reviews” as they just represent one person’s opinion!!  So I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. The albums that I’ll be recommending are merely those that I would buy myself and which you’ll be hearing played on my shows on Rock Radio NI.
