“Resilient” is the latest album from German band Running Wild who have been around since 1979, pioneering the pirate metal genre. Running Wild return with Captain Rock ’n’ Rolf Kasparek back at the helm after taking a break for a couple of years to focus on his project with Peter Jordan, Giant X. The album is full of infectious, instantly likeable tracks and was released through Steamhammer / SPV in Europe on 7th October. It gets released in North American on 22nd October.

The standard version of the album comes with ten tracks, although there is a special edition with an additional two tracks. Personal favourites are the opening track “”Soldiers of Fortune”, “Adventure Highway”, “The Drift”, “Desert Rose” and the 10 minute epic “Bloody Island”.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”

I'm not a reviewer and I certainly don’t claim to be a journalist, but I wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels. That was the simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends”. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of the whole idea of “Reviews” as they just represent one person’s opinion!!  So I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. The albums that I’ll be recommending are merely those that I would buy myself and which you’ll be hearing played on my shows on Rock Radio NI.
