NI Rocks Recommends – Screaming Eagles – “From The Flames”

I saw the Screaming Eagles performing at what I think was their first gig back in August of last year in the Pavilion. Like everyone else there that night I was totally blown away by how great they sounded. In the few short intervening months they’ve managed to produce an absolute gem of an album that was released just before Christmas.

It can be purchased at the following link - http://screamingeagles.bigcartel.com/product/from-the-flames

It might be the best £5 you spend this year!!!

My Recommendations aren’t about trying to pigeon hole bands or compare them to other artists. Let’s just say if you like the classic rock sound this album is for you! Great guitar riffs and a awesome vocal performance!! The album was mastered in California by Mark Chalecki but recorded locally at The Railway Studios in Lisburn. The CD packaging is excellent too with a proper case and a booklet with lyrics!

Hard to pick favourite tracks as they’re all excellent but if I was pushed I might go for “Fight The Fire” and “Devil in the Dust”. Check out the album – you won’t be disappointed!

Try and catch the band live if you can, they’ve a few gigs coming up including playing The Empire on 23rd March at a Rock Radio NI event supporting The Dirt.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”

Normally the “NI Rocks Recommends” series features some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels both within and outside of N Ireland. But as with all things there are exceptions to the rule and this is another recommendation for an album I’ve bought rather than one that was sent to us.

As usual, I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of most reviews as they’re simply one person’s opinion!! Therefore “NI Rocks Recommends” is just my personal recommendation. Let's just say that if I've went to the bother of writing this, I think it's worth taking a listen to and you’ll be hearing it played on my shows on Rock Radio NI!!
