Chrome Molly released four albums between 1985 and 1990 and toured with Alice Cooper in 1988. Like so many other bands of that era they then slipped back into the shadows, leaving a solid fan-base behind them. The band reformed in 2009 and released the album “Gunpowder Diplomacy” in 2013. They’ve stayed with earMusic for the release of “Hoodoo Voodoo" on 27th January. I played the track “Pillars of Creation (Albion)” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 9th December and “Can’t Be Afraid of the Dark” on the Show on 3rd February.

Tommy Röckit from Irish band Stone Trigger was my guest on the Friday NI Rocks Show in February 2016 (http://www.rockradioni.co.uk/interviews/2515-ni-rocks-interview-with-tommy-rockit-from-stone-trigger.html ).
The band release their debut album and tour the UK with L.A. Guns in March so we arranged a quick chat via Skype on 13th February to catch up. You can hear that interview along with 3 tracks from the new album G.H.O.S.T. on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 17th March. That Show is now available on our MixCloud page - https://www.mixcloud.com/NIRocks/interview-with-tommy-rockit-from-stone-trigger-on-the-friday-ni-rocks-show-on-17th-february/

The third album released by Frontiers Music on 27th January that I’m posting a recommendation for is a little different from the other two! From 80’s rock icons we move to modern day gothic metal and the fourth album from Swedish band The Murder of My Sweet entitled “Echoes of the Aftermath”. I played the opening track “Sleeping Giant” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 3rd February and the title track “Echoes of the Aftermath” on the Show on the 17th February.

On 27th January, Frontiers Music released new albums from the front-men of two of the 80’s iconic rock bands. I’ve already published a recommendation for the debut release from Jack Russell’s Great White. The other album is the latest solo offering from Ratt frontman Stephen Pearcy, entitled “Smash”. The album title provides ample opportunity for corny superlatives about how good it is, but I’ll avoid that and just say that it is one of those albums that you love from the first listen. I played “I Can’t Take It” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 3rd February and “Dead Roses” on the Show on 10th February.
