The Led Zeppelin reissue campaign continues in 2015, turning the spotlight on the double album Physical Graffiti. The deluxe edition of the group’s sixth studio album will arrive 40 years to the day after the original debuted on February 24, 1975. The reissues of the first five Led Zeppelin albums in 2014 found both commercial successes, with multiple titles reaching Top 10 chart status in countries around the world, as well as widespread critical acclaim, including the recent Classic Rock “Reissue Of The Year” Award.

Chris Appleton is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist in Absolva, and prior to that in Fury UK. However, on 2nd February he releases a solo acoustic album entitled “Restless” through Rocksector Records. I spoke to Chris about the new record, Absolva, upcoming tours and his continuing involvement in the Blaze Bayley Band. He also picked three tracks from “Restless” to play on the Friday NI Rocks Show that was originally broadcast on 23rd January. This show is now available via our MixCloud site.

Level 10 brings together Adrenaline Mob / Symphony X vocalist Russell Allen and Primal Fear’s bass player Mat Sinner. The band release an album called “Chapter 1” through Frontiers Records on 23rd January. Both Allen and Sinner are artists whose names appear fairly regularly when I’m checking out new releases or catching up on the latest music news. Once again it seems to have been Frontiers President Serafino Perugino though who can take the credit for getting the two working together on this project. The recording and release of the album might have been a lengthy process due to the various commitments of those involved, but ultimately it has been worth the wait and “Chapter 1” is well worth checking out.
