“Rolling In Town” is the second album to be released by Argentinian band 42 Decibel; following on from their debut “Hard Rock ‘n’ Roll” in 2013. Tracks from the latter had been featured on the NI Rocks Shows on Rock Radio NI on a number of occasions, so I knew to expect something good when we received notification from Steamhammer / SPV that they’d be releasing a second album on 18th September. There is an undeniable Bon Scott era AC/DC vibe to the 42 Decibel sound; and that is certainly alright with me.

Thundermother played a gig in The Pavilion, Belfast in November 2014. Performing tracks from their debut album “Rock ‘n’ Roll Disaster” the five girls from Sweden, Italy and Ireland certainly rocked the socks off all those in attendance. Unfortunately the band didn’t get the turnout that they deserved that night. However, most of those present, myself included, probably subsequently pledged on the recording of the band’s second album “Road Fever”. This album was released on 4th September; although a copy had also been sent to the station by one of the promoters who works with us. Thundermother have certainly delivered the goods and “Road Fever”, in my humble opinion, surpasses the high expectations set by the first album and their vibrant live performances.
