Chris Appleton is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist with Absolva. However on 2nd February he releases his first solo album entitled “Restless” through Rocksector Records. I spoke to Chris on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 24th January and he told us why he was releasing an acoustic album at this stage. http://www.rockradioni.co.uk/interviews/1776-ni-rocks-interview-with-chris-appleton-absolva.html . The album contains nine tracks including an Absolva track, one from his previous band Fury UK and a cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Mama I’m Coming Home”. It is well worth checking out.
Chris Appleton has brought in brother Luke and Belgian singer Wizz Wizzard to assist on the album, with the latter providing backing vocals on several tracks and sharing lead vocals on “Restless”. Both will also support him on the short tour to promote the album.
The first single and video from the album was for “No Tomorrow”. On the Friday NI Rocks Show Chris also selected “Seafarer” and “How Will I Feel When You’re Gone” to play.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”
The simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends” is to acknowledge and promote some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of traditional “Reviews” which essentially just represent one person’s opinion. With “NI Rocks Recommends”, I'll not be giving marks or ratings or analyzing the tracks in great detail; just telling you something about the artist and the album.
My musical tastes cover most things rock; from the not too melodic to the not too heavy. The albums that I’ll be recommending are merely those that I would buy myself and which you’ll be hearing played on my shows on Rock Radio NI.
