Most people will have heard of Grammy-award winning guitarist Bob Kulick, but many, like me, won’t have realised that he has now been releasing records for over 50 years. To mark that achievement he has released his first solo album! “Skeletons In The Closet” was released on 15th September by Vanity Music Group and features 4 new songs, a cover of “Goldfinger” and 5 songs from his past. It also features a wealth of guest appearances. I played the title track on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 8th September.

“The Rise of Starlit Fires” is the third album from Finnish power metal band Force Majeure and it was released on 8th September via Mighty Music. It’s the band’s first release with new singer Marcus Lång who delivers some outstanding vocal performances. The power metal genre is one of those that can be a little hit or miss for me personally; but “The Rise of Starlit Fires” ticks quite a few boxes and power metal fans are sure to revel in it.

“Neverland” is the first album released by Swiss band Gods of Silence – or more exactly the first since they changed their name from Kirk following the replacement of the original lead singer in 2016.The album was released on 8th September through ROAR! (Rock of Angels Records). The melodic outfit originally formed as ‘Kirk’ back in 1994 and released albums in 2003 and 2014. They’re now back with a new name, new singer and new label. I played the track “All My Life” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 25th August.
