“Phantoms of the Past” is the debut album from Dream Patrol, a Slovakia based band that features a multi-national line-up with members from Austria, the USA, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The album was released on 21st September via Mighty Music. The single “Get Back Home” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 3rd August and the track “Dream Patrol” is included on the Show on 12th October.

Twenty years after the release of their debut album, Hardcore Superstar has released their latest offering “You Can’t Kill My Rock n Roll”. The new album was released on 21st September via Gain Music Entertainment. When I interviewed lead singer Jocke Berg in Belfast almost a year ago he had thought that the album might be released in early 2018 but it has taken slightly longer. In the interim though, the band have released six singles / videos from the album, most of which have featured on the NI Rocks Shows on Rock Radio NI at some time.

Australian band Black Majesty released their seventh studio album, “Children of the Abyss” through Pride & Joy Music on 21st September. The power metal band has just finished a European tour in support of the album. They’ve been releasing a new album every two or three years since their debut appeared in 2003. The single “Somethings Going On” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 28th September.
