High on my list of bands that I’d like to see perform live are Swiss rockers Gotthard. I’m not sure when or if that’ll ever happen, but in the interim I can look forward to a new live album coming out next month. “Defrosted 2” is a live acoustic album being released on the Nuclear Blast label on 7th December.
Details in the press release below.

Doom metallers Castle released their fifth studio album, “Deal Thy Fate” on 19th October. This is their first release since signing with Ripple Music earlier this year. The San Francisco based band are essentially a two piece, female-fronted outfit that has been touring and releasing albums with a number of different drummers for almost ten years. I included the track “Wait For Dark” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 26th October.
Norwegian metal band Guardians of Time released their latest album “Tearing Up The World” via Rock of Angels Records (ROAR!) on 19th October. This is the band’s fifth album since forming in 1997 and it features guest appearances from Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens and Abbath. The track “As I Burn” featuring Owens on vocals was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 26th October.

English band Midnite City released their second album, “There Goes The Neighbourhood”, through AOR Records on 19th October. The band had released their first self-titled album just 12 months earlier. I had also posted a recommendation for that album and featured some tracks on the Shows. So far, from the new album, “Give Me Love” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 5th October and “Here Comes The Party” was included on the NI Rocks A-Z Show on 23rd October.
