“Universe” is the debut album from British band A New Tomorrow and it was released on 6th December by Frontiers Music. The band formed back in 2009 and over the past ten years has released a number of EPs and singles, but this is their first full studio album. The band has stated that this period of time has allowed them to develop their own sound and deliver their heaviest, most dynamic tracks to date. The track “A Million Stars” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 13th December.
A New Tomorrow was formed in London by vocalist / guitarist Alessio Garavello and bass player Andrea Lonardi. They are joined by drummer Tim Hall and guitarist Michael Kew (who replaced Daniele Panza in 2016). The EP “Incandescent” was released in 2012 and that was followed by “Back To Life” in 2014. In additions the singles “Believe” and “Damn You” were released in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
Garavello is an Italian, based in London and he fronted power metal bands Arthemis from 1999 to 2009, releasing four albums, and Power Quest from 2002 to 2009, releasing three albums. Michael Kew is also the guitarist with Vega.
The new New Tomorrow album would be more heavy melodic rock focused in comparison to Garavello’s earlier power metal albums and the band lists Alter Bridge, Foo Fighters, Metallica and Green Day as influences!

About “NI Rocks Recommends”
This is purely a personal recommendation and some information about the artist and the album; not a traditional ‘review’. Most of the recommendations posted are for albums that have been sent to us digitally by the record label or promoter. Quite often I’ve also bought the album on CD or vinyl as well and sometimes I just feel the need to post a recommendation for an album that I’ve bought myself. Essentially these are albums that I like and which I’ve played some tracks from on the Shows on Rock Radio NI!
