_{Canadian band Moxy released an album on 22nd May called “1974 to 2014 – 40 Years And Still Riding High”. This isn’t simply a “best of” Moxy, as guitarist and founding member, Earl Johnson has brought together a new line-up to re-record the 15 tracks on the album. The 40th anniversary album was released in Europe through Escape Music and a limited edition triple CD version comes with a bonus DVD containing a recording of a gig in Toronto in 2013.}

_{Moxy had their biggest success with their first 3 albums recorded between 1974 and 1977 with vocalist Buzz Shearman (before his death in a motorcycle accident in 1983). A fourth album recorded in 1978 featured Mike Reno (later of Loverboy) as Shearman had developed vocal cord problems at the time. The band reformed in 1999, releasing two more albums and playing a series of shows. To mark the 40th anniversary of the band, Johnston brought in Nick Walsh on vocals, Alexis Von Kraven on drums, Rob Robbins on guitar and Oscar Anesetti on bass to re-record some of the bands biggest hits for a CD and DVD.}

_{· Guitarist Tommy Bolin recorded parts of the debut album after Johnson and the producer had a disagreement and Bolin happened to be in the studio next door.}

_{· The support band for the Moxy’s first headline tour in 1977 was AC/DC.}

_{· Shearman was at one time considered as a replacement for Bon Scott.}

_{· Several members of the band worked with Lee Aaron on her debut album.}

_{· Geoff Barton referred to Moxy as the Canadian Zeppelin.}
