_{I first became aware of English rockers BlackWolf when we received their debut EP “Taking Root” back in 2012. That certainly impressed and tracks featured on the NI Rocks Shows on quite a few occasions. Their debut album “The Hunt” has just been released on the 2nd March. A couple of tracks have already featured on Rock Radio NI shows and you can be sure that more airplay is to follow.}

_{The band has earned a reputation as great live performers and have supported The Temperance Movement, The Union, Voodoo Six and Jettblack amongst others. Their next outing will be as main support for The Answer on the English / Welsh dates of the “Road Less Travelled Tour” during March.}

_{BlackWolf are purveyors of riff-laden, powerful “classic rock” anthems with a strong bluesy influence and lead singer Scott Sharp certainly delivers the goods. In doing so he is ably supported by John Greenhill and Jason Cronin on guitars, Ben Webb on bass and Tom Lennox-Brown on drums.}

_{I'm not a reviewer and I certainly don’t claim to be a journalist, but I wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels. That was the simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends”. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of the whole idea of “Reviews” as they just represent one person’s opinion!!  So I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. The albums that I’ll be recommending are merely those that I would buy myself and which you’ll be hearing played on my shows on Rock Radio NI.}
