I'm not a reviewer but wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels outside of N Ireland. I'm not giving marks or ratings. Let's just say that if I've went to the bother of writing this, I think it's worth taking a listen to!!
Gypsyhawk – Revelry & Resilience

It’s Gypsyhawk’s second album but I have to admit that this is the first time I’d heard them. Although the band members have been involved in heavier, thrashier bands in the past this is definitely a no nonsense rock album and I quickly realized it was one I’d be wanting to add to my iPod.
Reading the press pack that came with the album, the Thin Lizzy influences that are referred to are clearly evident in some of the tracks, although generally the sound is a bit heavier. I’ve never been much good at labeling bands but on their Facebook page they describe themselves as Modern Wave of Classic Heavy Metal and that seems a fair assessment!!
The hot track on the album is “Hedgeking” but there are other strong tracks that are close on it’s heels.
