“Cold Star Dancer” is the third album to be released by local rockers Maverick in just four years and it highlights the growing confidence and maturity of the band. It was released on 6th April through Metalapolis Records, the same label that released the previous album in 2016. So far I’ve featured three tracks from the album on the Friday NI Rocks Show – “Myrmidon” on 23rd February, “Kiss of Fire” on 16th March and “Cold Star Dancer” on 13th April.

Released on 30th March by HighVol Music, “Medicine Man” is the third album from Canadian band Snake Eyes Seven. The band’s self-titled debut was released in 2007, followed by “13 Crows” in 2010 and each album has featured a different vocalist. Having re-released “13 Crows” in 2017, Snake Eyes Seven are back with a new line-up, determined to make things work this time. The title track of the album was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 6th April and we should have an interview posted with founding member, guitarist Cole Stevens in the near future.

The opening track “2019” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 23rd March and a track will be featured on the NI Rocks A-Z Show within a couple of weeks.
Drive She Said were an American melodic rock band that released three albums between 1989 and 1993 and then reformed in 2003 for the original release of the album “Real Life”. That album was released via Frontiers and the same label was responsible for another come-back album in 2016 entitled “Pedal To The Metal”. Vocalist and guitarist Al Fritsch passed away in October 2017. “Real Life” has now been re-mixed and was re-released through Escape Music on 23rd March. The title track is included on the NI Rocks Show on 10th April.
