I’ve been a fan of Sweet Taste since they appeared on the local scene back in 2009 and first saw them perform live in August of that year when they supported Million Dollar Reload. They released their first EP just after that. Like most bands they’ve gone through a few line-up changes but Niall Graham’s soaring bluesy vocals and Christopher Seaton’s excellent guitar work have remained constant throughout.
Their new EP entitled “Hit The Spot” is released on 22nd April by Rocksector Records who signed the band only recently. The EP tracks are “Get Your Groove On”, “Knocked Out”, “Lost My Mind” and “Midnight Train”. All four are really strong tracks that instantly get you hooked!

“Emergence” was released on 10th March and was provided to us by Stampede Press UK. Reading the press pack I wasn’t too sure what to expect:
“Emergence combines the fist-pumping strength of heavy metal, the taste and feel of classic rock and the headbanging precision of thrash”
The mention of classic rock influences is enough to get my attention and I’m glad I took the time to check the album out. I have to say the description pretty much covers it! Loads of fantastic guitar riffs, heavy rhythm and great vocals. Not a single indistinguishable growl down the mic to be heard thankfully!
