Dirty Thrills released their self-titled debut album on 17th November. I must admit I don’t think that I’d heard of the band prior to receipt of the press release from Toxic Area Media; although the band formed in 2012 and seem to have been getting some decent media coverage. With a name like Dirty Thrills I was half expecting a sleaze / glam rock influence when I listened to the album. What I got was a rather pleasant surprise. Dirty Thrills deliver some good old fashioned rock n roll tunes, clearly more influenced by classic rock / blues sounds than by sleaze / glam artists.
