I’ve been a fan of Kobra and the Lotus for quite a few years so their latest album “Evolution” was always going to be ‘must-have’ when it was released by Napalm Records on 20th September. I pre-ordered the vinyl picture disc and also bought the CD. The three singles from the new album had been sent to us by Napalm Records and these have featured on the Friday NI Rocks Show over the past few weeks.

“Final Offering” is the new album from American rock icons Axe and it was released by Escape Music on 20th September 2019. Coming almost twenty years after the release of their previous studio album, “Final Offering” is also destined to be the last album from the band. Founding member Bobby Barth was my guest on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 23rd August and we chatted about the album and the band in some detail – http://www.rockradioni.co.uk/interviews/3637-ni-rocks-interview-with-bobby-barth-from-axe.html . Several tracks from the album were included on that Show and “Money” was included on the Show on 20th September.
“Zokusho” is the second album from The Defiants, a band whose members are all linked to Danger Danger. The latest album was released on 13th September by Frontiers Records and it features three current members of Danger Danger and a former vocalist from that band. The track “Love Is The Killer” was featured on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 27th September.
“Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin’ Stones” is the self-titled, third album from South Carolina singer-guitarist Hannah Wicklund and her band. It was actually released in the USA last year, but was released in the UK on 13th September by Strawberry Moon Records. I hadn’t actually heard of her until we got the press release from Noble PR, but instantly liked what I heard when I checked out the album. The track “Bomb Through The Breeze” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 9th August, followed by “Ghost” on 20th September.
