_{Diemonds are a hard working, hard partying band from Toronto, Canada who formed in 2006. They released their first EP called “In The Rough” in October 2008 and it gained international recognition, with Classic Rock Magazine calling it one of the best albums of 2009. The band has toured extensively since then, supporting some of the biggest names in rock music. The long awaited album “The Bad Pack” finally appeared in 2012.}

_{The band consists of Priya Panda on vocals, Daniel DeKay and C.C. Diemond on guitars, Tommy Cee on bass and Aiden Tranquada on drums. We recently managed to catch up with DeKay to get him respond to a few questions.}

_{I played a track by local band Twister on the NI Rocks Show on Rock Radio NI recently. That had led me to wondering again what had happened to the band – I’d never actually seen them play live but the tracks that they had sent into the station were great. Well, to quote Mr Benn (for our younger readers – he’s a 70’s TV character – google it!) “as if by magic the shopkeeper appeared” - no not Davy Warren!! Ok, it wasn’t actually a shopkeeper, it was an e-mail from Future PR sharing the new album by Big Guns with the station, but it’s close enough! Anyway, I digress!! Turns out that Big Guns is a band formed from the ashes of Twister and their new album “Down But Not Out” is pretty awesome!}

_{Falling into the category of “no-brainer” when it comes to listening to an album and deciding whether or not to write an “NI Rocks Recommends” is the new live album from Lita Ford entitled “The Bitch Is Back..Live”. Recorded in California in October 2012 the album contains 12 tracks : mainly from the classic albums of the 80's with a few from “Living Like A Runaway” which was released last year. Notably there are no tracks from the “Wicked Wonderland” album released in 2009, with “Living Like A Runaway” now justifiably seen as Lita’s real comeback album.}
