British band Vega recently released their latest album “Stereo Messiah” through Frontiers Records (http://www.rockradioni.co.uk/back-stage/music-reviews/1695-ni-rocks-recommends-qstereo-messiahq-by-vega.html ). This is their third album, following on from “Kiss of Life” in 2010 and “What The Hell” in 2013. Vega consists of Nick Workman on vocals, Dan Chantrey on drums, Tom Martin on bass, James Martin on keyboards and Marcus Thurston on guitar.
We spoke to Nick via Skype following the release of “Stereo Messiah” and ahead of the upcoming headline tour by Vega in November and dates supporting Joe Elliott’s Down ‘n’ Outz in December. This interview was broadcast on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 31st October along with three tracks from the new album. The Show is now available from our MixCloud site - http://www.mixcloud.com/NIRocks/interviews-with-vega-and-crazy-lixx-on-the-friday-ni-rocks-show-31st-oct-2014/
The interview has been transcribed and is posted below.

British band In Faith released their debut album “There’s a Storm Coming” through Rocktopia / Cargo Records on 24th October. Reading the press release from Rock ‘n’ Growl Promotions my eye immediately focused on the fact that members of In Faith had previously played in bands such as Vaughn and Eden’s Curse and that there were guest appearances by guitarists from Tyketto and Furyon. That was enough to warrant a quick listen and the subsequent decision that the album was definitely worth downloading! The debut album from In Faith certainly delivers a very listenable brand of melodic hard rock.

“Rats and Rumours” is the new album from German hard rockers Nitrogods. It was released through Steamhammer/SPV on 20th October and is the follow up to the self-titled debut album from 2012. Tracks from that debut album will have featured on a few of the NI Rocks shows on Rock Radio NI over the past couple of years. “Rats and Rumours” maintains that raw, hard-hitting feel of the debut “Nitrogods”; something that may result from the band’s insistence of recording in a studio using analogue technology.
