The first interview published in 2015 is actually one I’ve been pursuing for a little while. Back in August I posted a recommendation for the debut album from X Drive entitled “Get Your Rock On” (http://www.rockradioni.co.uk/back-stage/music-reviews/1628-ni-rocks-recommends-qget-your-rock-onq-by-x-drive.html ). X Drive featured Burning Rain singer Keith St John on vocals, former White Lion bass player James Lomenzo and drummer Fred Fischer. However, the driving force behind the band was guitarist Jeremy Brunner. To find out more about the project and future plans I sent Jeremy a few questions to answer just before Christmas.

Halestorm today announced the date for the release of their third studio album entitled “Into the Wild Life” and released the first single “Apocalyptic”. The band will be playing Limelight 1 in Belfast on Saturday 28th February. There is a competition on the NI Rocks Facebook and Twitter pages to win a pair of tickets courtesy of the PR team at The Limelight.

I have to admit I was intrigued when I read the press statement about the album “Swing of Death” - Jorn Lande & Trond Holter present Dracula! A Rock Opera concept album about everyone’s favourite vampire (well mine would actually be Selene from “Underworld”, but that’s another story!) could either be an epic rock album or a pretentious, inflated disaster. Thankfully, it was the former and “Swing of Death” which is released through Frontiers Records on 23rd January is well worth checking out. The opening track “Hands of Your God” was the first track on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 2nd January.
