“Para Dice” is the third album from Finnish artist Jessica Wolff and it was released by Metalapolis Records on 19th June. Wolff is also an actress and stunt woman, but released her first album back in 2013. I played the track “Ella’s Song” from the new album on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 12th June followed by “Perfect Kind of Wrong” on 3rd July.
British band Vega released their sixth album, entitled “Grit Your Teeth”, on 12th June. This is their fifth release with Frontiers Music. The band formed in 2009, releasing their debut album the following year, and has toured widely, often supporting bands such as FM, Magnum or Last In Line. Singer Nick Workman has been a guest on the Friday NI Rocks Show twice. So far five songs from the new album have featured on the Show over the past few months; the most recent being “Blind” on 3rd July.
“20/20” is the debut album from Finnish melodic metal band Smackbound and it was released on 12th June by Frontiers Music. The band was formed in 2015 by singer and actress Netta Laurenne and at times performed as a covers band whilst working on their first album. The tracks “Drive It Like You Stole It”, “Those Who Burn” and “Date With The Devil” have been featured on the Friday NI Rocks Show over the past few weeks.
“Lunaris” is the second album from Italian symphonic, power metal band Moonlight Haze and it was released on 12th June by Scarlet Records. The band is fronted by former Temperance singer Chiara Tricarico and formed in 2018. The track “Till the End” was featured on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 12th June.
