Australian band The Radio Sun released their latest album, “Beautiful Strange”, through Pride & Joy Music on 24th August. This is their fifth album is as many years and the band continue to deliver top quality melodic rock. The Radio Sun are no strangers when it comes to playing in the UK and have a good fan-base here. The latest album certainly won’t disappoint any of those fans. I included the track “Hold On Tight” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 3rd August.

“Holdin’ All The Aces” is the debut album from Billy Morris and the Sunset Strip and it was released on 24th August by HighVol Music. Billy Morris is probably best known as the guitarist in bands such as Warrant and Tuff and for working with Quiet Riot and Paul Gilbert. For this project he also takes on the role of lead singer. The title track “Holdin’ All The Aces” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 24th August.

Danish band Black Swamp Water released their second album, “Distant Thunder”, through Mighty Music on 24th August. The band delivers a great blend of stoner and southern rock, but the over-riding vibe undoubtedly comes from their Black Sabbath influences. I’ve played a few tracks from their 2016 debut album “Chapter One” in the past and so far the tracks “Rebellion” and “Bitter Harvest” from the new album have featured on the Friday NI Rocks Show – on 20th July and 3rd August respectively.
