While tabloids and the news channels play the song Motörhead were most recognised for ('Ace of Spades') Lemmy and the band had more depth than many could imagine.

Anders Bo Jespersen is a Danish guitarist who has worked as a session player for many years. On 8th January 2016 he releases his first solo album entitled “Bucket List” via Mighty Music / Target. There are 10 tracks on the album including 3 instrumentals and a number of different guest vocalists. All of the instruments are played by Anders Bo, better known as ABO. The tracks vary from melodic rock / pop to hard rock and it’s the latter that impressed me most. The opening track “Go Down” which features Rebecca Lou on vocals is included on the Friday NI Rocks Show broadcast on 25th December.
“Powderkeg” is the third album from the Jac Dalton band and was released on 26th October. For some reason it’s taken me a while to get around to checking out the album that is being promoted in the UK by BJF Media. I’d been aware of the Jac Dalton band previously and had downloaded his previous album “Icarus” (2013) only to lose it when my harddrive crashed shortly after. Having listened to “Powderkeg” a few times over the past couple of days there is definitely a lot to recommend and you can be sure I’ll be keeping an eye out for any future releases.
