“Illuminati” is the fourteenth studio album from British band Ten and it was released on 9th November via Frontiers Music. I always look forward to the release of a Ten album and the epic story telling tracks that they feature (and of course the great vocals and music!). This is the fourth album that I’ve posted a recommendation for, dating back to “Albion” in 2014. I included the single “Jericho” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 12th October, followed by “Rosetta Stone” on 16th November.
“Patina” is the second album from Red Dragon Cartel, the band formed by guitarist Jake E Lee, and it was released by Frontiers Music on 9th November. Jake E Lee was my guest on the Friday NI Rocks Show that week and we talked about the new album in some detail. We also played the tracks “Havana” and “Crooked Man”, both of which had been played on the Show previously. This week the latest single “Bitter” is included on the Show.

Reece is best known for having fronted the bands Accept, Bangalore Choir and Bonfire at various times and has been involved in numerous projects since the late 80’s. This is his first solo album in five years. The track “Any Time At All” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 7th September followed by “A Perfect Apocalypse” on 12th October.
I’ve been a huge fan of NWOBHM band Tygers of Pan Tang for many years and their early album were amongst my first vinyl purchases back in the early 80’s. In December the band will release “Hellbound Spellbound Live 1981” on vinyl and CD and I’ve already my order in! The recording was originally made by Chris Tsangarides at Nottingham Rock City, but it has now been remixed and remastered and will be released on 21st December via Mighty Music.
Details in the press release below.
