There are two NI Rocks Shows uploaded each week on Rock Radio NI. These are the playlists for those shows for the month of November – all of which are still available from the On Demand Player and also as podcasts on iTunes. There are tracks by around 150 different artists on the Shows this month. Playlists for October were published previously and these Shows are also available via the On Demand Player – http://www.rockradioni.co.uk/news/rrni-updates/3486-ni-rocks-playlists-for-october-2018.html
There were two new interviews on the Friday NI Rocks Show this month –with guitarists Doug Aldrich from The Dead Daisies and Jake E Lee from Red Dragon Cartel. Both have been transcribed and posted on the website. All interviews can be found here - http://www.rockradioni.co.uk/interviews.html
“None for One” is the debut album from Finnish band Flat Earth and it was released on 9th November via Drakkar Records. The band features former members of HIM and Amorphis and it came together in 2017 before quickly starting work on their debut release. The single “Cyanide” was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 12th October.
“Second Coming” is the second album from Nordic Union and it was released on 9th November by Frontiers Music. The band is a collaboration between Danish Pretty Maids singer Ronnie Atkins and Swedish guitarist Erik Martensson of Eclipse and W.E.T. They released their first, self-titled album back in January 2016. So far I’ve played two tracks from the new album on the Friday NI Rocks Show – “Because of Us” on 26th October and “It Burns” on 16th November – as well as “Rock’s Still Rolling” on the NI Rocks A-Z Show on 27th November.

I posted an interview with Brazilian band Owl Company in July 2017 just after the release of their debut album “Horizon”. Lead singer Enrico Minelli had stated in the interview that the second album was already written and that the band were we looking for a label ahead of recording it. Clearly, the band has wasted no time as since then they’ve signed to Eclipse Records and on 9th November they released their second album “Iris”. The single “Pieces” had been released earlier this year and I’d included it on the Friday NI Rocks Show in May, but it isn’t included on the new album. However, the track “Antagonist” was included on the Show on 16th November and we’ll have another on the NI Rocks A-Z Show very soon.
