Autograph release the album “Get Off Your Ass” through EMP Label Group on 6th October. This is the first new studio album from the band since 2003; or perhaps since 1987, depending on how you look at it! Like many 80’s rock bands Autograph have gone through more than one re-generation over the last twenty years or so. This version of the band came together initially in 2013 and looks to be the real deal. They signed to EMP in July and “Get Off Your Ass” is released this week. The title track was included on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 22nd September.

British band Wicked Stone release their debut album “Ain’t No Rest” on 7th October with a gig in Folkestone to mark the occasion. I hadn’t heard of the band until we got an e-mail from Drop Deaf PR. When I had a listen to the album I instantly liked what I heard. It’s always a good sign when you stop what you’re doing to check what it is you’re listening to! The track “Another Round” which was released as a single on 2nd October will be included on the Friday NI Rocks Show this week.

Rick Ruhl, the lead singer for Every Mother’s Nightmare was my guest on the Friday NI Rocks Show a few weeks ago. We chatted about “Grind”, the new album from Every Mother’s Nightmare which is released on 6th October through HighVol Music. This is the sixth album from the band, but the first in fifteen years! Whether you remember the band from their heyday or not, “Grind” is well worth checking out. We played four tracks from the album alongside the interview with Rick on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 15th September.
