Daughtry played their first ever show in Northern Ireland in Limelight 1, Belfast on Friday 28th March 2014. Cynics will always look for grounds to criticise and malign but the success of the band can’t be disputed. And neither can the strength of the band’s performance nor the extent to which the crowd enjoyed the show in Belfast. I don’t write gig reviews simply because those who were there to see the band will know what they thought about it, but I’m sure the reviews and thoughts of others will appear. Videos can never capture the full impact of a performance but here are a few of Daughtry and of supporting band Charming Liars.
When I posted a recommendation for Magnum’s previous album “On The 13th Day” back in August 2012 I was a new convert to the band, having not really taken much time to check them out properly over the preceding 30 years! There isn’t really much I can tell you about Devil’s Heaven other than that they’ve released a great debut album called “Heaven On Earth” that is well worth checking out! The information available from their website, Facebook page (which only has just over 50 likes) and press release is pretty vague really. What we do know is that they’re from Sweden, which is generally a good sign when it comes to rock music! “Heaven On Earth” was released through Helldiver Records on 25th February and you can find it on iTunes.
