Dirty Thrills are an excellent bluesy hard rock band from London whose tracks we’ve been playing on the NI Rocks Shows on Rock Radio NI for a few years now. They released their latest album “Heavy Living” through Frontiers Music on 15th September. A number of tracks were released ahead of the album and I played “Law Man” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 7th July, “I’ll Be With You” on 18th August and “Rabbit Hole” on the 8th September.

“Magic” is the third album in as many years from multi-national band Serious Black and it was released through AFM Records on 25th August. I was a bit late in picking up on the release, but included the track “Burn! Witches Burn!” on the Friday NI Rocks Show this week! The melodic power metal outfit formed in 2014, with the members all having played for several different bands in the past.
Silver End are a Norwegian band founded in 2012 and they released their second album, entitled “Spreading Fire” through Mighty Music on 15th September. Though perhaps more inspired by newer generation, modern hard-rock than traditional classic rock; Silver End still deliver a great sound - loads of great riffs and excellent vocals will tick the box every time! I played the track “Addicted” on the NI Rocks A-Z Show on 1st August and “Chills” on the Friday NI Rock Show on 8th September.

Frontiers Music are of course masters at bringing artists together to record albums, and they have another success with Kee of Hearts who released their self-titled debut on 15th September. The principal contributors this time are singer Tommy Heart from the band Fair Warning and Kee Marcello, former guitarist with Europe. I included the track “Crimson Dawn” on the Friday NI Rocks Show for 22nd September.
