We’re big fans of Chicago based band The Last Vegas who are releasing a new album “Sweet Salvation” this month and embarking on a tour of the UK and Europe. I’d previously interviewed bass player Danny Smash back in August 2012, (http://www.rockradioni.co.uk/interviews/1091-ni-rocks-interview-with-the-last-vegas.html) but was keen to catch up with the band again.
I spoke to singer Chad Cherry by phone just before the first show on the UK tour. This interview was broadcast on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 16th May and was then available for 8 weeks via the On Demand Player. The show from 16th May which includes the interview can be heard at http://www.mixcloud.com/NIRocks/
The full interview can be read below.

“Into The Open” is the debut album from German band 21 Octayne and is released by AFM records in the UK on 26th May. 21 Octayne are a prime example of a band created by artists who have built their reputation performing in other bands. In this case, probably the highest profiled of these is vocalist Hagen Grohe who had been selected as the frontman for the Joe Perry Project. The other members of the band are Marco Wriedt (from Axxis) on guitar, Andrew “The Bullet” Lauer (Paul Gilbert band) on bass and Alex Landenburg (Rhapsody) on drums.

British melodic metalcore band Bury Tomorrow play the Oh Yeah Centre in Belfast on 17th May and release their third album “Runes” through Nuclear Blast Records on 26th May. We eventually managed to track down vocalist Dani Winter-Bates to get him to answer a few questions for Rock Radio NI. The remaining band members are Jason Cameron (guitar and vocals), Davyd Winter-Bates (bass), Adam Jackson (drums) and Kristan Dawson (guitars).
