The tour marks NICKELBACK
Chasing Dragons are a young, female fronted band from Yorkshire whose music I’ve seen described as various things. Not being an expert on (or big fan of) music genre labels, I’ll let you decide yourself how, or if, you want to categorise them; but regardless of the label, I like what I hear. The band released a new EP entitled “Faction: Prologue” on 29th March; ahead of the planned release of a debut album to be called “Faction” in 2017. I played the track “Devil In Her Eyes” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 25th March.

English singer Ian Parry has been performing for over 25 years; in bands, as a solo artist and contributing to other projects. His latest venture is the Rock Emporium which sees him collaborate with a team of well respected musicians. Together, they have recorded an album called “Society of Friends” which was released through Escape Records on 18th March. I played “Stone Cold Fever”, the first track on the album, on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 25th March.

Hollow Illusion is a band from Norway that features twins Magnus M. Hoel on vocals and Ove M. Hoel on bass. They previously released two albums under the name Hollow before changing for legal reasons. Their debut, self-titled album as Hollow Illusion was actually released on 12th February; though I only downloaded it at the start of March. Even so, I’m a bit late in getting a recommendation written; though a vinyl edition of the album is released on 8th April. “Hollow Illusion” is self-released and was produced by guitarist Trond Holter who is best known to me for his work with Jorn Lande.
