There are two NI Rocks Shows uploaded each week on Rock Radio NI. These are the playlists for those shows for the month of November – all of which are still available from the On Demand Player. There are tracks by around 140 different artists on the Shows this month. “Hollywood Cowboys” is the latest album from rock legends Quiet Riot and it was released on 8th November by Frontiers Music. The album was the second to feature the vocals of James Durbin, but he had announced even before it was released that he would be leaving the band to focus on other projects. He certainly went out on a high as there is plenty to like about “Hollywood Cowboys”. The tracks “Don’t Call It Love” and “Heartbreak City” were included on the Friday NI Rocks Show during September followed by n and “In The Blood” on 1st November.

“Universe” is the third album from Los Angeles based symphonic / modern metal band Edge of Paradise and it was released on 8th November by Frontiers Music. The female fronted band formed in 2011 and has worked with high profile producers such as Michael Wagener, Chuck Johnston, Mike Plotnikoff and Jacob Hansen on their releases to date. This is their first album release since signing with Frontiers. I’ve played the track “Alone” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 27th September followed by “Fire” on 1st November.

If “Serpentine” was the one good track on the new Pretty Maids album “Undress Your Madness” and the rest were rubbish I’d still post a recommendation for it as that track is probably my song of the year!! Thankfully however the new album is full of great tracks and is likely to be one of my favourite releases of the year. It was released on 8th November by Frontiers Music. In addition to having played “Serpentine” on the Friday NI Rocks Show in September and October, I’ve also featured the tracks “Undress Your Madness” on 8th November and “Will You Still Kiss Me (If I See You In Heaven)” on 22nd November.
