In 2013 I posted an interview with a young, talented Australian guitarist and singer called Laura Wilde. She’d just released her debut album called “Sold My Soul”, had been touring with Ted Nugent and would soon be embarking on a UK tour. Seven years on, Laura has just released her second album, called “Charmed & Dangerous”. I arranged to speak to her via Skype and recorded an interview that you can hear on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 17th July 2020. We chat about the new album, future plans, working on ‘The Voice’, dealing with the Covid outbreak and more.
The interview has been posted below and the Show is available on our MixCloud page - https://www.mixcloud.com/NIRocks/interview-with-laura-wilde-on-the-friday-ni-rocks-show-on-17th-july-2020/

“Para Dice” is the third album from Finnish artist Jessica Wolff and it was released by Metalapolis Records on 19th June. Wolff is also an actress and stunt woman, but released her first album back in 2013. I played the track “Ella’s Song” from the new album on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 12th June followed by “Perfect Kind of Wrong” on 3rd July.
British band Vega released their sixth album, entitled “Grit Your Teeth”, on 12th June. This is their fifth release with Frontiers Music. The band formed in 2009, releasing their debut album the following year, and has toured widely, often supporting bands such as FM, Magnum or Last In Line. Singer Nick Workman has been a guest on the Friday NI Rocks Show twice. So far five songs from the new album have featured on the Show over the past few months; the most recent being “Blind” on 3rd July.
