“Reunite The Sinners” is the second album from American band Prophets of Addiction and it is released by Mighty Music on 15th April, having been previously released independently last year. Call it “glam”, call it “sleaze” or just call it “rock”; whatever you want to label the genre, Prophets of Addiction have it mastered. I played “As We Fall” as the final track on the NI Rocks A-Z Show on 9th February, then decided to open the Show the following week with “Welcome To The Show”.

Prophets of Addiction were formed by Lesli Sanders who had previously been a member of Pretty Boy Floyd and had toured with Marky Ramone and Phil Lewis (L.A. Guns). He plays bass and provides lead vocals, with Jimmy Mess playing drums and G.G. and Brandon Barger playing guitars. The band’s debut album “Babylon Boulevard” was released in 2012 and the band have been touring extensively in the USA over the past few years. They also toured Australia in 2012 and did a short tour of the UK and Italy back in 2011. On some of the UK dates they were supporting L.A. Guns.

The album features a guest appearance from Poison’s C.C. DeVille who plays a guitar solo on the track “Kings And Queens”. In addition to the tracks already mentioned, my favourites would include “Spare The Bullets”, “Hearts of Mine” and “Last of the Words”. “Reunite The Sinners” is mixed and mastered by Phil Soussan, the bass player who has performed with many of the leading names in rock; working with Ozzy on “The Ultimate Sin” album and recently being named as the replacement for the late Jimmy Bain in Last In Line.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”

The simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends” is to acknowledge and promote some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI. I'll not be giving marks or ratings or analyzing the tracks in great detail; just telling you something about the artist and the album. It’s a personal recommendation to go check something out, not a traditional “review”!

My musical tastes cover most things rock; from the not too melodic to the not too heavy. The albums that I’ll be recommending are merely those that I would buy myself and which you’ll be hearing played on my shows on Rock Radio NI.
