NI Rocks Recommends

I'm not a reviewer but wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels both within and outside of N Ireland. That was the idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends”. I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of reviews as they’re simply one person’s opinion!! Therefore “NI Rocks Recommends” is simply my personal recommendation. Let's just say that if I've went to the bother of writing this, I think it's worth taking a listen to and you’ll be hearing it played on my shows on Rock Radio NI!!

Knock Out Kaine – “House of Sins"

This album was released back in May, but the band’s PR guys sent it through to Rock Radio NI just recently and I took an instant shine to it. The band have been about since 2005 and were voted Kerrang’s “Best Unsigned Act” in 2008. They’ve been touring and building their fan base like all “local” bands have to ever since.

If you like your rock with a big dose of sleaze you’ll love this album. “House of Sins” was mastered by Ray Staff who has worked with the likes of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath so when he says “there isn’t a weak track on here” its maybe worth paying attention.

The album was released by DOTT Records and can be purchased on iTunes, Amazon and all the usual places.
