“I am Patrick, yes a sinner and indeed untaught; yet I am established here in Ireland where I profess myself bishop.  I am certain in my heart that “all that I am,” I have recieved from God.  So I live among barbarous tribes, a stranger and exile for the love

of God.” - St. Patrick, patron Saint of Ireland.

HAPY ST. PATRICKS DAY FOLKS! (yes i know I am writing this afterwards, but ya know?).

It’s that time of year again folks, where we remember the main whom was elected the patron Saint of Ireland, hundreds of years ago.  Whose name is known world wide, for his holy example on the shamrock, to chasing the snakes out of Ireland (aka the Pagans).

Not bying ya? Ok then.  Its that time of year where everyone dresses up like a leprachaun and goes out to get completely hammered.

But yes St. Patrick’s day is indeed loved by all around the globe, from Ireland to America and back.

I thought I’d may as well go out and have abit of craic and bring my camera down to good ole Ma Nelson’s where some good ole Irish music is going down, aka a big Thin Lizzy tribute band!

Kicking off the night was the great WORLDSEND, who even with the lack of crowd on their part, still continued rocking! Nothing ever stops these boys!

This is a special from the Worldsend boys, playing their new song “Sins of the Father”.

So now was the moment we’ve all been waiting for, TINN LIZZY, a tribute band playing the works of the great THIN LIZZY, can’t beat it! The band features Ian “Speedo” Wilson & Phil Edgar of SWEET SAVAGE on guitar, David Bates of STORMZONE on drums, and special guest Johnny Fox from HOODOO RHYTHM DEVILS filled in on the Phil Lynott front.

The boys play the music perfectly! With tracks like Jailbreak, Waiting for an Alibi, Dancing in the Moonlight, Boys are Back in Town and ofcourse Black Rose.

The boys reeled in the crowd and the craic was 100%.  A truly fitting end to St. Patrick’s Day 2011.

Here they are performing the final song, “Black Rose”.

So I now leave you with another quote from St. Patrick.

“I bind to myself today God’s Power to guide me, God’s Might to uphold me, God’s Wisdom to teach me, God’s Eye to watch over me, God’s Ear to hear me, God’s Word to give me speech, God’s Hand to guide me, God’s Way to lie before me, God’s Shield to shelter me, God’s Host to secure me, Against the snares of demons, Against the seductions of vices.” - St. Patrick
