I am sure you could tell I was extremely overjoyed when I got the email to say there was a photo pass for me to take photos of Belfast’s leading punk band STIFF LITTLE FINGERS.  For over 30 years SLF have led the punk scene, not only in Belfast, but

all over the world! With hits like “Alternative Ulster” and “Nobodies Hero”.  As always SLF manage to get a sold out show in their hometown, selling out the massive Ulster Hall.  Attending the show were not just the crowd that have known the Fingers of old, but the younger generation, who are showing their genes…. covered in patches, and studs.

When I broke the news to my Dad, he was rather happy with me, as they are an old favourite of his… which ofcourse leads into him telling tales of what the music scene was like back in the day, when these bands were pretty much starting off.

Alot of people weren’t that fussed when they heard that the original support group couldn’t play along side, but when you have one Belfast punk band performing, it’s only fair to add on another Belfast punk band, THE DEFECTS.

I was also trying out this night a lens my friend lent me, a Sigma f2.8 18-50mm lens.  And as you can see, the results are fantastic!  Softer than Nikon lenses, but they provide what I want!
