“Shut It Down” is the impressive debut album from Killit; a hard rock / metal band based in London whose members hail from Hungary, Israel, Argentina and the UK. The album is released on 12th August through Lions Pride Music, with four tracks already having been released as video singles. I played “Shut It Down” on the Friday NI Rocks Show on 15th July and “See The End” is included on the Show on 12th August.

Killit formed in early 2015 with Gaz Twist on vocals, Niro Knox on lead guitar, Byron Marr on rhythm guitar, Geos Letona on bass and Pete Jean on drums. The band members had previously played and toured in bands such as King Lizard and Ace Mafia. Over the past 18 months they have been building on their support base in and around London.

For more information and all the usual links check out the band’s website - http://www.killitband.com/

There are 12 tracks on the album. In addition to the two that I’ve already played on the Show, my favourites would be “Calm Before The Storm”, “Dragging Me Down” and “Crash and Burn”.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”

The simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends” is to acknowledge and promote some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI. I'll not be giving marks or ratings or analyzing the tracks in great detail; just telling you something about the artist and the album. It’s a personal recommendation to go check something out, not a traditional “review”!

My musical tastes cover most things rock; from the not too melodic to the not too heavy. The albums that I’ll be recommending are those that you’ll hear me playing tracks from on my shows on Rock Radio NI.
