W.E.T. follow-up the release of their second album “Rise Up” in February 2013 with a live album recorded at an exclusive show in the Debaser Club in Stockholm on 17th January 2013. W.E.T. of course consists of Robert Säll (the “W” from Work of Art), Erik Mårtensson (the “E” from Eclipse) and Jeff Scott Soto (the “T” from Talisman). “One Live – In Stockholm” is released through Frontiers Records on 21st February as a double CD / DVD package. As well as playing tracks from both W.E.T. albums the band played two Talisman tracks and one each from Work of Art and Eclipse. This release also includes two studio recordings as bonus tracks.

Their debut release in 2009 was highly acclaimed. When I interviewed Jeff in Belfast in April 2013 before his Rock Radio NI solo gig he stated that “so many people loved that first album and revelled in the fact that it was the second coming of Christ almost when it came to melodic rock music”. That enthusiasm from fans had been evident ahead of the concert in Stockholm with fans flying in from far and wide and is clearly heard on the recording from that night.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”

I'm not a reviewer and I certainly don’t claim to be a journalist, but I wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels. That was the simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends”. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of the whole idea of “Reviews” as they just represent one person’s opinion!!  So I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. The albums that I’ll be recommending are merely those that I would buy myself and which you’ll be hearing played on my shows on Rock Radio NI.
