“Get The Hell” is the ninth studio album from The Supersuckers, but their first with Steamhammer/SPV who release it on 14th January. This is the first studio album in five years and was recorded at Willie Nelson’s Arlyn Studio in Austin, Texas.

A couple of quotes from the Steamhammer / SPV press release would sum up why the album gets a recommendation:

“Get the Hell” is a tightly focused sonic assault of big riffs, catchy hooks and raw, balls-to-the-wall rock’n’roll”.

“a band in it’s prime, kicking out snarling, anthemic choruses over head-bobbing chord progressions.”

My own favourite tracks would be the title track “Get the Hell”, “Something About You”, “Gluttonous” and “That’s What You Get”. The cover of Gary Glitter’s “Rock On” is also worth a mention.

The Supersuckers are on tour in Europe during February and March 2014.

About “NI Rocks Recommends”

I'm not a reviewer and I certainly don’t claim to be a journalist, but I wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels. That was the simple idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends”. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of the whole idea of “Reviews” as they just represent one person’s opinion!!  So I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. The albums that I’ll be recommending are merely those that I would buy myself and which you’ll be hearing played on my shows on Rock Radio NI.
