NI Rocks Recommends

I'm not a reviewer but wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels both within and outside of N Ireland. That was the idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends”. I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of most reviews as they’re simply one person’s opinion!! Therefore “NI Rocks Recommends” is just my personal recommendation. Let's just say that if I've went to the bother of writing this, I think it's worth taking a listen to and you’ll be hearing it played on my shows on Rock Radio NI!!

Texas Hippie Coalition – Peacemaker

The third album from Texas Hippie Coalition brings another huge dose of what they call “Red Dirt Metal” – the bands own unique brand of southern rock fused with heavy riffs.

When I first heard a track from the album – the awesome “Turn It Up” – I was an instant fan and after checking out the band was shocked that two previous albums had managed to escape my attention. “Infectious” is probably the best word to describe the album. I defy any fan of guitar driven rock music to listen to this album and not find themselves addicted!

The album was released by Carved Records in the UK on 15th October, following its USA release back in August. Promotions are being handled by Head First Entertainment.
