NI Rocks Recommends
I'm not a reviewer but wanted to acknowledge some of the great music being submitted to Rock Radio NI by artists, promoters and labels both within and outside of N Ireland. That was the idea behind “NI Rocks Recommends”. I'm not giving marks or ratings, trying to categorise bands or compare artists. To be honest I’m not really a big fan of reviews as they’re simply one person’s opinion!! Therefore “NI Rocks Recommends” is simply my personal recommendation. Let's just say that if I've went to the bother of writing this, I think it's worth taking a listen to!!
Audio Porn – "Jezebels Kiss"
I was drawn to this album...NO! not by the cover...well not just by the cover... by the involvement of Jeff Westlake from Hydrogyn. I’m a big fan of that band so I wanted to check this out. The other members of the band are former members of Jezebels Kiss (hence the album title presumably) – singer Arziel St Michael and drummer Byron Black.
The band’s Facebook page defines them as “Twisted, infectious debauch n’ roll” and I guess that pretty much covers it. Good old fashioned rock n roll the way it should be!!
If it were a vinyl LP I’d say that Side A is the raunchier more rocky side whilst Side B contains the more melodic, ballady tracks; but it’s all good.
“Jezebels Kiss” was released on 31st August by JK Records.
